I love designing logos. From the mad dash of initial ideas all the way to the finicky finessing of tiny last details, this is my happy place.

I would like to present the bookstore Selected Stories' logo design process as a case study because it both typifies my process and was an absolutely delightful project.

The logo design process takes 3-6 weeks. I started by getting to know Chris, the store owner, and his business, researched his industry, honed his vision and created mood boards to establish a look and feel.

I then made dozens of sketches as I brainstormed and picked 3-5 of the strongest concepts for Chris to choose from.

There were a couple of rounds of refinement of the winning concept with opportunities for Chris to share feedback along the way.

I delivered the final design in a suite of digital files ready for online and print use.
